Advocate Dmytro Yagunov Secured Medical Assistance for a Serviceman and Accountability for Military Officials
Thanks to the legal assistance of advocate Dmytro Yagunov, it was possible to secure proper inpatient medical care for a servicemember of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as to bring officials of the Bolhrad District Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support (RTCK) to disciplinary liability.
For an extended period, a servicemember of one of the AFU military units had been deprived of proper medical care.
According to the official response of the Medical Directorate of the Ground Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine dated June 2, 2026: since May 25, 2026, the servicemember has been undergoing inpatient treatment, where he is receiving qualified medical care.
Furthermore, the Commander of the AFU Ground Forces initiated a service investigation into the circumstances surrounding the repeated referral of the servicemember to a military medical commission. Based on the results of the investigation, by order of the Chief of the Odesa Oblast Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support, an official of the Bolhrad RTCK was brought to disciplinary liability and subjected to a reprimand — for entering inaccurate information into the Unified State Register of Conscripts, Military Reservists and Reservists, and for violating the procedure for conducting military medical examinations.
The rights of servicemembers are not a privilege — they are guaranteed by law. The task of an advocate is to ensure that these guarantees work in practice, and do not remain mere declarations.
